Are you at the end of your rope with your job or career? Are you feeling trapped by work that has no meaning for you, frustrated by tense professional relationships, or stressed to the point where your personal life is suffering? Perhaps you graduated from college or graduate school a few years ago and started your career with a lot of excitement, but you realize now that this is not the right field for you. Or maybe you've been out of the workforce for a while and getting your career back on track is proving difficult. Chances are you're here because you have hit a roadblock, and you're frustrated that you are not exactly where you thought you'd be by now. It can get better. I can help you. Just give me a call, and we'll talk.
Work is a huge part of your life that can impact your overall quality of life. You deserve a career that makes you happy and a professional identity that is a true reflection of who you are. In addition to exploring, assessing, and resolving conflicts in the career realm, I offer a range of psychometric tests which are helpful for career changers as well as more concrete coaching services, such as resume building and interview preparation, for job seekers.

More Info About My Practice
I am passionate about the connection between your professional wellness and your overall personal/emotional health, and I will bring this perspective to the work we do together. Feel free to contact me to schedule a free phone consultation. I know how difficult it can be to reach out for help and select a counselor, so I am happy to answer any questions you have and address any potential concerns about the counseling process prior to scheduling a session.
Online services are available for individuals who travel frequently or live outside of the NY area. If finances are a barrier to counseling, I may also offer an adjusted fee on a limited basis. Saturday and evening hours are available. I look forward to beginning our work together.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
My background as a career changer has heavily influenced my niche and philosophy. I have experienced firsthand how stress, unhappiness, or lack of purpose in your career can influence your overall social and emotional functioning. It took me a while to "find myself" as a person and a professional, and I bring this experience and empathy to my work with you. As your counselor, although we may focus on career challenges, I aim to help you feel balanced, whole, and happy in all aspects of your life. In addition, I have found that my experience as a career changer is an asset to my work as a Counselor and Career Coach. Having worked in finance, education, and the arts, I have a solid understanding of the culture and needs of various industries and the types of individuals who excel in them.
What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process
It is natural to have concerns about beginning work with a counselor, even if you have been in counseling before. You may wonder whether counseling can really help you, and you may have some anxiety about sharing your worries, life experiences, and deepest feelings with a stranger. Man clients have expressed that it can be freeing to have the support, caring, and insight of a trained individual who is unbiased and unconnected to your experiences. As your Counselor, I work with you to examine your toughest conflicts and help you to arrive at your "truth" without the subjectivity or biases that the people in your life will naturally have.
I truly believe that the counseling process can help everyone. If you decide to give counseling with me a try, I will encourage you to freely express any thoughts or concerns about our sessions, your progress, and the counseling relationship so that together we can ensure that the experience is a fruitful one for you.
