Hi, I'm Dr. Adam Weissman, licensed clinical psychologist and Founder and Director of The Child & Family Institute (CFI), with six convenient locations throughout Westchester County (Scarsdale, Rye Brook, Mt. Kisco) and NYC (Manhattan, Williamsburg, and Brooklyn Heights). We specialize in highly targeted evidence-based treatments for emotional and behavior disorders in youth and related services, including a wide range of anxiety and depressive disorders, OCD, trauma, selective mutism, tic and habit disorders, ADHD, behavior disorders, parent training and family therapy, medical/health psychology, neuropsychology, and LGBTQ+ issues.

At CFI, our mission is to eliminate barriers to treatment, educate the community, and destigmatize childhood and adult mental illness. We view each client as possessing a unique set of strengths and challenges, with a focus on alleviating symptoms of distress rather than applying labels. Our therapy approach is time-limited and goal-focused, with an emphasis on--and clear targets for--cognitive, behavioral, and emotional change.

At CFI, we strive to deliver the highest quality of personalized, evidence-based care to our community by offering state-of-the-art treatment programs that work, in a relaxed and friendly environment. We help our parent and adult clients regain a sense of empowerment and control and our child and teen clients build confidence, re-engage in their lives, and start enjoying their childhood.

We look forward to helping you and your family.
