Hi, I'm Dr. Adam Weissman, licensed clinical psychologist and Founder and Executive Director of the Child & Family Institute (CFI), with two convenient locations in Midtown Manhattan and Scarsdale, New York.

At CFI, our mission is to eliminate barriers to treatment, educate the community, and destigmatize childhood and adult mental illness. We view each client as possessing a unique set of strengths and challenges, with a focus on alleviating symptoms of distress rather than applying labels. Our therapy approach is time-limited and goal-focused, with an emphasis on--and clear targets for--cognitive, behavioral, and emotional change. At CFI, we strive to deliver the highest quality of personalized, evidence-based care to our community, by offering state-of-the-art treatment programs that work in a relaxed and friendly environment that allows our clients to feel comfortable and be themselves.

We help our parent and adult clients regain a sense of empowerment and control and our child and teen clients build confidence, re-engage in their lives, and start enjoying their childhood.

We look forward to helping you and your family.
