YOU are unique. And so is your story. We all have context, stories that make our lives make sense. If you are reading this, your life is making much less sense to you than it once did. Sometimes we develop a system of coping tools to deal with the context of our lives. As our lives change our coping tools are no longer needed or no longer work. Most commonly occurring during life transitions, it can be incredibly lonely and disorienting! Unfortunately, most of us weren''t given a sturdy emotional toolkit. That''s where I come in! You can''t know what you don''t know. Have you ever tried to talk to an accountant about your taxes? Swahili, right? Taxes are scary! And, so are emotions when you aren''t equipped with the toolkit. A lifetime (or even a short time) of trying to ignore your self and your emotions can create one incongruent mess. Luckily, getting back on track can happen. I''ll walk the journey with you. Sometimes we need a guide, or an expert to lead us along the way.

Whether it''s the ravages of an eating disorder, the panic of becoming a young adult, to a new mom, I''m here to hear your story. I''m here to help navigate a path. I''m here to help your voice be one that is heard.

More Info About My Practice

I''m able to work in the office or out. I have a couple equine therapists on hand to work along side as you develop your voice. Being natural communicators, horses can teach us by mirroring parts of ourselves we aren''t able to express. By bringing these parts to the surface we can deal with them and develop them!

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

If I said everything you wouldn''t believe me as a therapist, would you? What I love most about being a psychotherapist is learning about people''s lives in a way that I get to join in their journey, hold their hand through the painful, often scary times, and watch them grow as they take back each little piece of their selves. It''s an honor and a gift every day.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

There is so much to learn about YOU in the beginning of therapy! YOU are the expert on you. It takes weekly sessions for at least two to three months to gather the information I need to scout out all the puzzle pieces underneath the coffee table. My job is to get as much context as I can! If you work hard and work sessions between sessions, the frequency can dial back. The clients who take advantage of all the modalities offered have the best success.
