Great Neck is a village in the Town of North Hempstead. It is located in Nassau County, New York. Great Neck was settled in the 1640s and incorporated in 1922. Writer F. Scott Fitzgerald used Great Neck and its neighboring towns as the setting for his novel Great Gatsby.
