My Approach to Helping

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Registered Play Therapist and Sandplay Therapist, I use a variety of different and creative techniques to help adults, adolescents, children, and families manage stress, cope with pain and change their lives for the better. I have extensive training, education and experience in working with people who have suffered trauma. MY PHILOSOPHY: I believe each individual possesses unique strengths and competencies. For a variety of reasons, these strengths can become buried, lost, and forgotten. Through the therapeutic relationship, I will help you to gain access to these lost strengths, learn ways to overcome pain, heal trauma, and promote transformation. I work collaboratively with you while creating a safe environment conducive to positive change. I would be delighted to speak with you personally, answer any questions you may have, and invite you to see my lovely garden office and playroom.

More Info About My Practice

ADULTS: Our lives are complicated, stressful, demanding, and outwardly focused allowing little or no time for personal growth or self-awareness, not to mention forming and maintaining meaningful personal relationships. Wherever you are on your current path, I will meet you. Together we will build a strong foundation and find solutions in order to promote transformation, healing, and a sense of peace.ADOLESCENTS: Teens are experiencing more stress, pressure and the desire to fit in whenever, wherever and however they can. They are going through numerous changes, physically, emotionally and psychologically. Often they need an objective adult to help them consider alternative choices and learn new and better ways of managing life. I can help.CHILDREN: Sometimes life throws out unexpected problems that can get locked deep inside children resulting in sadness, anger and acting out behaviors. Through play therapy, I can help children communicate and heal when words alone just dont work. Play therapy provides children an appropriate means of expression so that they can continue on their normal developmental path in a healthy way.
