My Approach to Helping
As a psychologist, psychoanalyst, and life-long student of Eastern Philosophies, I believe emotional illness involves not only inner conflicts of the psyche, but at a deeper level, a loss of contact with one's sense of being alive. In a compassionate environment of non-judgmental inquiry and acceptance, I help individuals accept their thoughts, feelings, and experiences as they are, resolve inner conflicts and relational difficulties, unlock their creative potential, and discover their True Self. I view my clients not as "disorders" or "symptoms", but as individuals struggling and suffering in their process of development toward full Humanity. Through the lens of Transpersonal Psychology and Mindfulness-based approaches, a balance of the intellectual, emotional, spiritual, physical, social, and creative aspects of the individual is the ultimate goal of psychotherapy. Through my own process of psychoanalysis, self discovery, and personal growth, I believe strongly in the power of introspection, contemplation, and meditation to transform the Human Spirit and awaken to one's True Nature.

More Info About My Practice
I strongly believe in the rights of individuals to receive mental health treatment without the interference of managed care. Therefore, I do not work as a network provider for any insurance company. However, I do accept assignment of all out-of-network benefits to help defray a client's up-front expenses. I will file the necessary claim forms on your behalf, and offer payment plan options, or reduced fees, as necessary. I accept cash, checks, and major credit cards at this time.
