I use mind/body/spirit approaches to help people improve their lives. With a background working in diverse inpatient and outpatient medical settings, I treat children, adolescents, adults, and families. I often use Clinical Hypnosis and EMDR in addition to talk therapy to more efficiently address concerns. The types of conditions I treat include anxiety, panic, grief, depression, trauma, and medical life issues. Therapy is always individualized to fit your unique needs and goals. I love my work and I hope to help you in an atmosphere of respect, caring, and competence. I am a graduate of Duke and the University of Miami. As adjunct faculty at U.M., I enjoy teaching family therapy courses and supervising graduate students in counseling practicum. Coming from a Cuban-Irish family, I speak Spanish and I am sensitive to Latin-American and cross-cultural issues. I've been married to a great guy for 19 years, and we have 2 boys, ages 17 and 9.
