My Approach to Helping

We all have emotional experiences. At times, we can find ourselves in situations we don't want to be in. Those situations, as difficult, painful or challenging as they are, can provide individuals, couples and families an opportunity to learn, grow and develop in a therapeutic setting. This belief is the foundation for my practice. There are a variety of therapeutic approaches I rely on to help form a safe, supportive, accepting, non-judgmental, interactive relationship with clients. My approach is client-centered, and I strive to understand client issues through clarification and reflection. My philosophy is holistic in that I believe mind, body and spirit are affected when an person experiences interpersonal conflict. At times, I include art, journaling, homework, meditation and visualization either during, or outside of sessions to help provide insight for clients.
