My Approach to Helping
I am a spritually oriented psychotherapist with 32 years of experience, located in Park Slope Brooklyn. I work with individuals and couples from very diverse backgrouns with a wide range of difficulties. I use psychoanalytic psychotherapy, hypnosis, EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing) mindfulness meditation and pet-assisted therapy. I have experienced as a patient all the modalities with which I work. Thus, I know from my own experience how powerful therapy can be. I feel that the more flexible a therapist is in her approach, the more she can respond to each person's needs. I also believe that the more a therapist is invovled in her own healing process the better she can inspire the miracle of the patient's growth. As Albert Einstein said, "There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is."
