My Approach to Helping

Are you a Christian man who feels that life's difficulties are keeping you from enjoying relationship with your wife and God? What if you had the ability to handle difficult situations with more grace and turn to God in times of difficulty instead of unhealthy choices? There is hope in facing your hidden behaviors and being honest with those you love. We can provide you with the skills to cope with life and relationship difficulties. We have worked with many men who struggle just as you do. Restoration and healing are possible.
Prodigals International Counseling provides hope and healing for Christian men and adolescents who struggle with brokenness and compulsive behaviors. We want to help you overcome viewing pornography, compulsive masturbation, infidelity (emotional and physical affairs), co-dependency (love addiction) and the impact of shame and broken trust that accompany these behaviors.
My goal is to offer a safe place to explore how to cope with life's difficulties. I view the counseling process as forming an alliance with you to explore the nature of your struggles. My desire is to help you overcome brokenness which hinders intimate relationships and impacts spiritual growth.

Steve Dulaney is a Christian counselor, Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LIC# MC60136657), and CSAT (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist) who provides individual and group counseling for men who struggle with sexual compulsivity. He utilizes Patrick Carnes sex addiction recovery model which includes Facing the Shadow, Recovery Start Kit and Recovery Zone. He also integrates traditional 12-step recovery methods. Steve completed his M.A. in Counseling Psychology at Mars Hill Graduate School in Seattle and is trained in Lifespan Integration. Steve has worked in the area of sexual addiction recovery since 2001 and is President of Prodigals International, a faith-based recovery program for men and women impacted by sexual addiction. He is a founding member of the Christian Network Forum for Sexual Health.

I desire to see men, women and families recover from the devastation of sexual addiction. I have been working in the field of sexual addiction for the past 8 years and recently received certification with Patrick Carnes as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). I have done extensive recovery work with individuals and groups helping individuals and couples find freedom and redemption from the betrayal of pornography, cybersex and infidelity. I specialize in working with Christian men who have lived a life of shame and hiding with their compulsive sexual behavior. I help clients establish a program of recovery while also addressing the core wounds of their past.
