My Approach to Helping
I view therapy as a powerful tool designed to help you understand what is getting the way of feeling your best and living the life you want. As the obstacles are uncovered, we work collaboratively through these areas of difficulty and move toward new solutions. My style is warm, engaged and genuinely interested.

More Info About My Practice
For a free 15 minute phone consultation, please contact me at 510-595-4655. I am located 1 block north of the Rockridge BART station. My practice is open and welcoming to people who are new to therapy as well as people who have been in therapy before. I am interested in working with men on their relationships issues, young adults transitioning to adulthood and people struggling with depression and/or anxiety.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

There are many reasons people are unsure about the idea of going to therapy - I get it. In a short phone conversation, I can help you decide if therapy might be right for you. I treat the first few sessions as "get to know you" sessions where you have a chance to decide, with no obligation, if I might be the right therapist for you. It also gives me a chance to get to know you so I can be sure that I am able to help you before we decide to start our work together.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Contrary to what you may think, taking an honest look at yourself with the help of a trained professional is not only courageous, it's smart and proactive.
