My Approach to Helping
I believe that human beings naturally strive for emotional/physical health and balance, psychological distress occurs when this natural balance is disturbed. Traumatic experiences, developmental transitions and changes in our environment can all cause a psychological crisis. My goal is to help clients return to their optimal level of functioning, through the process of self exploration and discovery in an inspiring and safe environment. I strive to approach each individual in a unique way, tailoring treatment to the clients specific needs. I believe in employing non judgmental curiosity when thinking about an individual's inner world. I believe that therapy should be an exciting and creative process. Having lived in many different parts of the world, I pay close attention to cultural nuances that color our experiences, I try to stay sensitive and close to the unique topography of an individual's emotional life. Therapeutic process is a collaboration between all involved. I believe in looking at the totality of what makes an individual, including one's childhood experiences, styles of attachment, history of relationships, thoughts, dreams, hopes and disappointments. Therapy is a special space created and dedicated to understanding who we are and where we are going.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I find that people seek therapy when they need a safe space to explore and talk about their feelings and get constructive feed back that allows them to grow and gain a perspective on a given issue. Providing a non judgmental environment where a therapist is invested in understanding the unique needs of the client and is willing to give respectful yet honest feedback allows for an incredible opportunity for growth and creativity. I am committed to exploring the limitless possibilities that exist in each person's life and psyche to find something magical and inspiring. I believe that each individual has the potential to break free of limitations our unconscious fears can impose on our lives. Therapy is an exciting journey inward, dedicated to finding that limitless potential to evolve and transcend ones predetermined path.
