My Approach to Helping

I have counseled children as well as adults, couples, and parents for 15 years, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in SC and CA. I'll help you deal with depression, anxiety, ADHD, nurture your communication skills within your relationships, and help you develop stronger parenting skills. I draw from a variety of theories, and I work to help you take responsibility for your life by helping you shape the life you want. I firmly believe that although sometimes we can't change our circumstances, we can change what we do and how we react.

I strive to nurture a supportive, safe environment where you can begin taking control and create positive changes in your life. By developing self-awareness and learning skills to be mindful and present in our every day, we can begin to change our behavior which can change our life in a profound way.

More Info About My Practice

I charge $160 for a therapy hour. (50 minute session).
I am not in network for any insurance providers, however, I can provide you with a superbill to request partial reimbursement from your insurance depending on your benefits.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Choosing to go to therapy does not mean you are weak or flawed. It means you are choosing to be mindful and present in your life. You will learn through self exploration that you cannot control what others think, but you can control what YOU think. And this creates emotional growth.

"In between stimulus and response there's a space, in that space lies our power to choose our response, and in our response lies our growth and our freedom."-Viktor Frankl

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

My life experiences have caused me to be a more empathetic therapist. I have been through a divorce, and I am now happily married with two beautiful children. Being a mom, wife, and a therapist has taught me to appreciate life to the fullest. I absolutely love my job and feel honored to have my clients share their life with me. I take pride in watching my clients become more confident in their lives and achieve their goals.
