My Approach to Helping
I take a whole-person, holistic approach when facilitating psychotherapy and encourage clients to consider a bigger vision of their lives. Therapy is about unhooking yourself from suffering and reclaiming peace and wholeness. My job is to help you understand yourself as deeply as possible, so that we can work together to help you live fully and embrace your relationship with yourself and others in a way that is healthy, vibrant and meaningful for you.
I work primarily with INDIVIDUALS and COUPLES to explore the complexities of their RELATIONSHIPS with themselves and their significant others. I will facilitate you to define your struggle, understand your patterns, recognize alternatives, and improve your capacity to grow with greater self-awareness and self-agency.
I also work with GRIEF, ANXIETY, TRAUMA, concerns around developmental LIFE TRANSITIONS, as well as the issues surrounding CULTURAL ADJUSTMENT. While change is often an opportunity for significant personal growth, it is not uncommon to feel overwhelmed by the internal and external pressures that arise when adjusting to change and losses. I provide a supportive and collaborative space in which to explore your thoughts, feelings and questions that arise around transitions.
What parts are you moved to explore? What is calling for change?
My INTEGRATIVE, CLIENT-CENTERED approach to facilitating psychotherapy combines aspects of insight/depth-oriented, cognitive, relational, and body-centered psychotherapy.
