My Approach to Helping
My goal is to help clients develop inner resources to navigate the complexities of their experience to better manage the demands of their lives with greater energy and a sense of mastery and stability.

I provide a relationship-based therapeutic process in which children, teens, and adults can develop their strengths and apply new strategies to manage the circumstances that bring them frustration, conflict, pain, and impede their sense of accomplishment and progress in daily life.

More Info About My Practice
As a trained collaborative divorce professional I practice mediation and divorce coaching, working to serve the best interests of clients and their children to effect realistic and practical family specific outcomes that are not likely to occur in a litigated divorce process.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

I believe that the relationship that unfolds in the process of therapy creates a context in which the process of self-exploration and self-awareness become supported, challenged, and encouraged to flourish. The relationship allows for people to challenge and re-work their beliefs about themselves and the people who enter their lives. People are able to ask themselves questions about their expectations about the world they live in and the people the interact with on a daily basis. The information that flows from that process allows for a greater sense of autonomy and authorship within one's own life, so that situations and our experience of them can be perceived with greater clarity and the capacity to make conscious decisions about life in the moment becomes manifest.
