My Approach to Helping
I approach my clients with a positive, hopeful attitude because I believe that most people have the ability to overcome their difficulties. My goal is to provide a safe space in which clients can explore their issues of concern with being judged or blamed in order to discover alternative ways to view and approach the problem. I use a collaborative approach, integrating the client's expertise of his/her life into the counseling process. I am very respectful of clients' values and work within the client's worldview to tailor the counseling to each individual or family's needs. I have worked with families of many different cultures and religious backgrounds. I have experience working with many issues, including those related to trauma, mood, relationships, cultural adjustment.
