My Approach to Helping
A clinical psychotherapist for 27 years, I work extensively with individuals, couples, and families treating depression, anxiety, grief, and other emotional stressors. I have broad experience working with familial issues (e.g. balancing relationships, family, career, etc.) and specialize in couples and women facing critical decisions in their lives. This includes natural life transitions such as marriage, pregnancy, and menopause. Many of my clients come from or work in multicultural environments, and I help them to address many of the challenges that arise from living in another culture.
I am also particularly skilled at helping clients move forward when they are stuck in unhealthy patterns at home, work, in relationships, and other areas of their lives. I help clients find the internal resources and understanding to allow them to make more productive and healthy choices, ultimately finding greater contentment.
I work either in shorter or longer-term therapy including mindful techniques to alleviate symptoms of stress. I have worked in private practice, international organizations and in clinics across the U.S., Spain and Argentina. I am bilingual (Spanish/English).
