My Approach to Helping
I am here to help you with problems such as anxiety, depression, anger management, or grief. It is my belief that you have the answers within but that sometimes it is difficult to maintain perspective when you are so close to the problem. Sometimes we need an outside source of support and guidance to help us on our way. By asking you probing questions, helping you gain self awareness, and teaching you skills, you can learn to navigate through life with more confidence. My counseling style is compassionate, warm, and nonjudgmental. I also believe it is important to be direct and "real" with you when you feel stuck or need direction. Extensive research has shown that what we think has a direct effect on our emotions and one of my goals is to help you become aware of this dynamic process. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions.

* Insurance:
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance.
I am in-network with Pacific Source and Aetna.
I can bill as an out-of-network provider with most other insurance companies.
* Instructions on calling your insurance company to find out what you will owe:
1.) Call the number on the back of your card and tell them that you want to know if you can get any out-of-network coverage by seeing an out-of-network therapist. They may ask for my credentials. I am a LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor).
2.) Ask them what they will cover and ask them what your co-pay or co-insurance would be each session. Also make sure to ask if you have any deductible to pay off before the insurance will cover service.
After making this phone call to your insurance company you will be able to make a decision about whether you are comfortable with the numbers your insurance company gives you. Hopefully you are pleased and will give me a call.
Please have your insurance card available at the time of the initial phone call to me.
