As a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Arizona, I provide "Good Therapy as described in the elements of Good Therapy on this website. My client-centered emotionally focused therapy is first an foremost, non pathologizing, meaning that I do not see my clients through the lens of a diagnosis. I see clients as real people with real struggles in daily life, who are seeking ways to grow and change, creating the person they want to be. I believe the client knows best what they need and want but that shame inhibits them from believing in themselves. Thus, I become collaborative with my clients, helping them see how their story can be told differently as shame and family of origin issues are addressed and healed. I believe healing is an integrative process of the resolving past issues and creating a new sense of identity and being in the world. I believe issues of wholeness include healing shame, integrating a spirituality, and experiencing oneself with complete acceptance.
