My Approach to Helping

......I specialize in helping women and men who want to develop a more satisfying life....... I work with individuals and couples, and because of my training and experience, I am comfortable addressing a variety of issues and problems. Many of the people I see are professionals that have been successful in their work and they are now wanting to develop a personal life as rich as their work life. For some therapy begins addressing issues of anxiety, depression, anger, as well as longer standing personality issues, such as social anxiety and avoidance. Counseling for couples targets improved communication and enhanced intimacy within the relationship.

More Info About My Practice

Each person I work with is unique having their own patterns of thinking, feeling, behaving and relating. These are patterns they have developed over their lifetime to help them get along psychologically, first in the family he or she grew up in, and then in the larger world outside. Unfortunately, some patterns developed earlier in life may no longer be effective and in fact, may create problems in growing and living a fulfilling life. I work together with people to gain greater insight and understanding of what is working and not working in their lives and possibly why. It is through this greater awareness where I believe people can begin to change.
