My Approach to Helping
I utilize a number of theoretical orientations including some but not limited to systemic, solution-focused, humanistic and cognitive behavioral therapy. I tailor my approach to the specific needs of my clients with an emphasis on a solid therapeutic relationship to complete the journey with success. I am passionate about this field and work with a variety of clients with moderate to severe problems, adults, couples, adolescents and children have been able to make lasting life long changes.

My Role as a Therapist

My role as a therapist is to assess, empathize, understand, clarify, reflect, diagnosis, while establishing short and long term goals with my client. I am here to help my client figure out for themselves the bases and causes of their particular issues, then help the individual, couple, or family find suitable methods for overcoming, or cope with their issue(s).

Groups I Work With
I lead anger management, parenting and adolescent support groups. My training was completed with Azusa Pacific University’s Community Counseling Center and Hope Counseling Center. I have just over five years experience working with the elderly population, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychosis and other various disorders. While in the Masters program I worked closely with the Amen Clinic psychiatrists and received training on the importance of SPECT imaging and brain functions.
