My Approach to Helping
Congratulations--by seeking counseling, you're taking the first step in helping yourself! Research shows people who are motivated to search for a therapist, possess inner resources, resilience, and will to change. I offer brief-term counseling for rapid symptom reduction, as well longer-term psychotherapy for deeper exploration. I work collaboratively with you to insure we're optimizing a tailor-made treatment for your unique needs. Though I've worked with a wide variety of issues over the past 30 years, my specialties include: anxiety; depression; chronic pain/illness/; relationship issues--in individual and/or couples, sexual difficulties, and cross-cultural conflicts.
I use multiple modalities as interventions, e.g. psychodynamic, mindfulness training, humanistic/interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, communication skills.
Depending on your preference/needs, I use a combination of sessions: in-office, telephone, and Skype with video.

More Info About My Practice
I am not a member of HMO's, but if you have a PPO, I will provide you with a weekly or monthly bill to submit to your insurance company--you will be reimbursed directly from them, contingent on your policy benefits.

I'm passionate about providing stellar service to my clients, and about doing good therapy . . . because nothing is more important than human beings relating with each other with kindness and fulfillment--my goal is to foster such.

I view my role as therapist to help you help yourself, to become the best "Being" and ""Self" you envision for yourself--part of therapy process involves clarifying the latter.
