My Approach to Helping
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist experienced in helping people reduce painful feelings like sadness, anger, guilt, resentment, loneliness, fear, anxiety, regret, shame, and sorrow. I know that acceptance and trust are essential for therapy to work and it often feels like no one understands what you're going through. My priority is to create a safe and respectful place that allows you to feel comfortable enough to work through the obstacles that keep you from feeling better in your life. My counseling practice includes children, teenagers, parents, individual adults, couples, and families. Sometimes the hardest step is making that first phone call, but once you do, life can get better.

My working style is open, compassionate, and down to earth. I utilize an array of approaches, drawing upon proven methods, tailored to what I believe will be most effective for you. With sensitivity and empathic, positive regard for your feelings, I will help you capitalize on your strengths with the hope that you may achieve your therapeutic goals and enjoy greater fulfillment in your life. My office is located on Fifth Ave in San Rafael and I offer daytime and evening hours. Please give me a call (or email) when you're ready. I offer a 30 minute initial consultation, in person (or on the phone if you prefer) at no charge, to see if I am the right therapist for you. Don't waste another day feeling bad......
