My Approach to Helping
Are you feeling stuck in some old ways of living, and just can't seem to break the spell? Many times obstacles become great teachers as we learn to negotiate our lives in new ways. I'd love to be a witness to your current life, and a sounding board to help you reflect more clearly on what is getting in the way. People tell me my sincere and caring ways help in inner healing - whether you're undergoing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, addiction or just a feeling of unrest, I'd love to work with you!

My way of working is eclectic- I feel that the more perspectives one has on any issue or event in life, the healthier one becomes. Holistically oriented, I believe in the body-mind connection: cognitive behavioral therapy may work for some, while others prefer to work with their dreams.

I hold licenses as an RN, a mental health counselor, and a chemical dependency professional. This broadens my own perspective in dealing with issues. I love to work with people who are tired of repeating their old patterns, are open to change, and trust the perfection of their journey.

I accept Blue Cross, United, Tufts, and Harvard Pilgrim Insurances; self pay is always an option. If you have any question about this please contact me.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

My perspective is the healthiest response when one is unhappy is to find out what thoughts, beliefs, or concepts may be contributing to this feeling of unrest or unhappiness. It often is a daunting task to accomplish on one's own, as it is difficult to see our own world in any other way then the way it has already been conceptualized unless we get help from another - especially another who is outside our family system and might be able to see more. Learning new strategies and skills and learning to be kind, loving, and accepting of ourselves by taking the time to focus on ourselves in therapy can lead to a healthier and happier life!
