My Approach to Helping
Courage is being scared and doing it anyway. Although it takes courage to begin the counseling process, addressing the issues that have caused you to suffer can enable you to rise above these issues and discover your personal joy potential. It's never too late to bloom by addressing issues that have caused chronic emotional distress and have gotten in the way of fulfilling your unique potential. Therapy is a means to reach personal goals, reduce suffering, and get more joy out of life. We humans have an unlimited capacity to heal ourselves, despite the pain we've suffered. I create an emotionally safe, non-judgmental, and caring environment for clients to share their concerns. I believe it's possible to transform the negative energy of painful thoughts and/or feelings into positive energy that can facilitate a belief in one's self and in one's potential. I encourages clients to learn more about themselves so they can enhance their skills in solving their problems in their own way. I use bibliotherapy, journaling, and homework assignments as adjuncts.
