My Approach to Helping

I individualize treatment to the specific needs of the client or couple. Together we look at early family relationships and how they impact current ways of thinking, feeling and relating. This creates more choice in your life, make better decisions and find healthier ways of being with your self and others.

I am particularly interested in the struggles of young adulthood and issues involving separation and individuation from family during this time. My work includes helping clients with anxiety, depression, conflict and confusion over issues such as relationships, sexuality, career, cheating, friendships, work relationships, problems with academics, and body image to name a few.

 

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

To help the client feel better and more confident in his/her own skin, and therefore be able to create a more meaningful and satisfying life for him/her self and family.

 

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love being able to watch growth take place within my clients! It is a privilege to be able to walk along side them, as they start to discover and see themselves in a new way and ultimately make better decisions and create more choice in their lives.
