My Approach to Helping
My theoretical approach consists of helping my clients to understand and address their issues by being genuine, practical, straightforward and respectful while being light hearted. My intention is to create a professional, safe and supportive environment in which we engage actively and collaboratively to help you find the courage and confidence to explore and address the difficult and challenging issues.

I have a Masters of Arts in Applied Behavioral Science (2004) from the Leadership Institute of Seattle-Bastyr University with an emphasis in Systemic and Holistic Counseling.I rely on my trainings as a psychotherapist, yoga teacher and natural foods instructor to integrate a whole body approach to promoting optimal health at all levels of being and embracing limitless possibilities.
I am an in network provider with Regence, Aetna, Humana/LifeSynch, First Choice Health and considered an out of network provider with most insurance companies and will provide statement of services upon request for insurance or health care reimbursement purposes. I am also an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider for Horizon Health/Aetna and Wellspring Family Services.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Through therapy, the focus of our work is to identify and better understand the existing behavioral patterns and challenges and come up with solutions in order to move toward creating a fulfilling and satisfying level of life. I work with my clients to improve communication skills, increase intimacy and connection in order to create healthy, functioning relationships.

My counseling practice is influenced by Family Systems Theory, Mindfulness based, Narrative, Humanistic and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
