Non-Profit Development - Part Time Student Internship

GoodTherapy.org (GT) is an organization dedicated to encouraging healthy forms of counseling and psychotherapy and one of the leading therapist referral directories on the internet. GT provides referrals and training to thousands of member therapists worldwide and aims to inform the public about the benefits of healthy psychotherapy. The intention of GT is to promote collaborative and non-pathological forms of psychotherapy in an effort to reduce harm and to bring more “health” into the field of mental health.
 
GT is currently looking for an intern who is interested in gaining experience in the development and administration of non-profit foundation. Gained experience will include writing a mission statement, completing IRS form 1023, helping to identify potential board members, searching and applying for relevant grants,  contacting relevant funding sources, administration of the 501c3, and other related experiences.

The selected applicant will have excellent communication and organizational skills and a passion for making a positive impact on the community.

 

The following skills and experience are also important:

- excellent reading, writing, and comprehension.
- ability to problem solve and to think outside the box
- willingness to learn new skills
- friendly and personable attitude
- self-motivated
- experienced with use of computers, data entry, Microsoft office suite, and ability to learn new applications

This internship is unpaid and, with success, will lead to a paid position. Internship is part-time with a flexible schedule.
