Psychotherapy is provided on a sliding-scale fee based on your economic situation. Insurance forms can be provided to you for reimbursement by your insurance company. If going to a therapist's office isn't for you, please call me to set up telephone sessions instead.

 

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Psychotherapy helps people to understand themselves, their relationships, and other people. In a time, when we have an overload of information from many different medias, the one person we need to rely on is ourselves. The better we know who we are, what makes us do what we do, how we think, what our emotions are telling us, and how to act towards oneself and others is vital to our survival.

 

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

While we often go to therapy when some personal experience has overwhelmed our ability to know what to do, the real work in going to therapy is to become aware of who you are, how you think and feel, how you understand your feelings, how to make better choices, have healthier relationships, and how to enrich every day of your life. The more comfortable you are with yourself, the better you can handle what life brings you. Our self preservation depends upon our being mindfully aware of our needs and how to fulfill them.
