I help people improve their relationship to themselves. People come to me wanting to feel less anxious, less distressed, improve their relationships, feel more secure, or be more content with their decisions. I believe that by supporting them to feel empowered they will inherently change how they understand their abilities, strengths, and choices and make the changes they desire. To empower clients I focus on supporting them to deeply explore their experiences - encouraging them by asking open questions and taking a genuine interest in their perspective. In this way people feel safe and respected in their opinions and often discover new ways of understanding why they believe the things they believe – further identify what is working or not working for themselves. Identification can lead to insight and insight can lead to action. Action then leads to change and change makes way for growth.
Therapy helps you identify the changes you want to make, explore who you are, discover what inspires you, and find the courage and strength within to strive for your goals. Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, down, or struggling to make changes – you have the innate ability to heal, change, and grow. Psychotherapy supports this innate ability by providing you with a safe confidential space to explore, express, process and collaboratively create new ways to understand your experiences and your self. Therapy is more than talking to a friend. Therapy is focused, directed by a therapist that is empathic, genuine, and non-judgmental, and confidential. Because of these elements the therapy process is unique to other relationships in life, allowing for personal honesty and exploration without repercussions or compromise
