My approach is compassionate, respectful and collaborative. Optimism and hope are powerful elements of change. I've witnessed people's courage in facing their challenges, resolving their problems and ultimately attain their goals.

My fees are $90 per session. I accept BC/BS, United Health, Childrens Medicaid, Rite Care and self-pay. I have a limited sliding scale and do home-base therapy within a 15 mile radious of Warwick, RI for a fee.

 

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

The therapeutic relationship is of paramount importance, it is the vehicle through which change occurs. Respect, collaboration and trust allow clients to face their challenges. It also gives them the comfort level to not only disclose central issues but to also to voice disagreement and preferences. People have preferred styles of change. Some people respond better to cognitive based approaches and others find a better fit with emotional or behavioral methods. The therapist needs to have the skill-set to accommodate the clients preferred style of change and the client must feel comfortable giving honest feedback.
