My Approach to Helping
I have experience working with all age groups and diverse cultures. I believe that effective therapy starts with a safe and trusting relationship between the therapist and client. My approach is warm, respectful and caring. I try to create a supportive, therapeutic and safe environment for expression by offering my clients guidance, insight, humor, and compassion. I work from a Humanistic/Existential framework and I use a variety of tools from Narrative, Family systems, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Psychodynamic therapies. I am also trained in EMDR. I offer both short and long-term counseling.
