My Approach to Helping
People come to therapy for a wide range of reasons. You may feel stuck, unmotivated or as if you'd like a greater sense of direction in your life. Maybe you feel overwhelmed, unable to relax or unable to enjoy what once brought you contentment and happiness. Many come to therapy feeling lonely and/or unable to communicate with the important people in their lives in a way that really gets through.

Whatever the reasons, therapy helps unravel the knots that keep you from feeling more at ease and confident. Therapy can help you to recognize your talents and find more effective ways to use them. It can also help you to communicate in ways that bring you and your loved ones closer and in clearer communication with one another.

I provide a warm and relaxed setting where individuals can feel at ease and engaged in their own therapy. I draw from a number of therapy models that have been shown in the scientific literature to work. From this base, I work with clients to tailor our work so that it best meets each person's interests and goals.
