You are not broken and therefore, you don't need to be fixed. You're not fragile either. Sure, getting started with therapy is hard, but finding someone who understands that is just the beginning. Chances are, you've come here because you're looking for emotional help. Feeling better isn't just about having someone to listen--it's about engaging in the thoughtful, challenging process of building your life.
My specialty? I work with people, not disorders. While you may be looking for help in a particular area, the best help you get should include taking a look at the totality of your life. In other words, you might get more help than what you're looking for.

Group therapy is an option I offer most of my patients. While it's not a requirement for coming into therapy with me, group is a powerful therapeutic environment. My groups are very diverse with regard to age, class, gender, race, sexual orientation, and the issues members are working on.
