My Approach to Helping

I believe that, with some limited medical exceptions, most people are born healthy, good, eager to learn, and ready to love; and that most of what we call psychopathology is indeed "a sane response to an insane situation." As a result, I will want to know, "Who hurt you, and what did that injury teach you about self, others, and the world? How did you have to twist yourself out of your natural shape to survive the environment you were born into? What lies were told to you that you had no choice but to believe?" Our journey together begins with calming down. You've been on the run too long. The warm, homey atmosphere at The Sanctuary offers a safe, soothing backdrop where you can relax and begin to breathe again. Next, go within. Learn to navigate your inner landscape, reconnect with spirit, reclaim your power. Now, for the heroine's quest. Armed, shielded, and supported, enter the cave, disempower the dragon, and emerge with the treasure he stole from you. The cave is your memories, the dragon your pain and fear, and the treasure your unique and beautiful Self. Finally, get used to being free. You'll choose and practice new ways of being in the world that match your true nature and reflect your Soul's growth.
