My Approach to Helping
Therapeutic relationships are grounded in caring, trust and respect. I work to establish a warm, accepting, collaborative relationship with clients. In feeling truly accepted as they are and emotionally supported, people can reflect on their lives and unravel the knots that keep them stuck.

No one therapy fits all people. I use a holistic approach involving body, mind and spirit. My basic therapeutic orientation is humanistic, client-centered and strengths-based, with a strong emphasis on cognitive-behavioral, EMDR, somatic, and psychodynamic techniques.

I am not on any insurance panels; but I am willing to bill insurance as an out-of-network provider.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I am very interested in helping adults with issues resulting from childhood experiences. I am especially drawn to working with people who in childhood were assigned the role of being caretakers to their parents. I have done a lot of work in this area and have an intuitive, empathic attraction to this area of therapy.
