My Approach to Helping
As the seasons change people are often triggered by their past. Depression, anxiety, loneliness, grief and loss and trauma may surface. I utilize an individual approach that builds on, and recognizes, the strengths you already have and assists you to learn new ones. My goal is to help you bring positive change and serenity back into your life. My practice has evolved through a variety of settings.Working at Two Rivers Psychiatric Hospital has given me extensive training working with groups and individuals with a variety of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, addiction, and trauma.

If your life has been affected by sexual abuse, domestic abuse, rape, it is important to seek help. It takes courage to come forward after a trauma. I provide men, women, adolescents and teens a safe place to speak their truth. Make positive changes in your life today.

Are you struggling with addiction in your family? Family members need support, guidance and resources when someone they love suffers from addiction. Marriage/Couple therapy is offered for those wanting a healthy relationship. My goal is to provide a safe, empathetic, non- judgmental, place for my clients to be heard.

The relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important parts of therapy. I believe that creating a safe place to work through your difficulties is essential. I bring compassion, honesty and humor to my counseling. My training as a social worker as well as my personal life experiences can help you find tools to cope with life and its difficulties.

To achieve your goals I utilize an individual approach that builds on, and recognizes, the strengths you already have and assists you to learn new ones.
My goal is to help you bring about positive change and help you get serenity back into your life.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

Painful situations led me on the path to become a therapist. Resiliency through personal struggles gave me passion to help others gain insight and help them make positive changes in their lives. My life experience has taught me that knowing when to ask for help is extremely important! I am a better therapist because I can empathize with my clients’ painful situations. My struggles have taught me to rely on inner strength, courage, finding a higher power, resiliency, and having a safe person to talk to. I care deeply as a therapist and want to help my clients find a resolution to their struggles. My motto is Never Never Never Give Up!
