My Approach to Helping

All of us need help from time to time to see ourselves more clearly, and to develop new ways of living fuller, deeply satisfying lives. My focus is on improving how you perceive and navigate life's challenges, transitions, and relationships ~ with yourself, and with others. Our work together can help you to develop new skills to create the life you want; to enhance your relationships, friendships, or worklife; and to move you toward greater abundance, mindfulness, and depth. I will work with you in a respectful, honest, and authentic way, integrating several different approaches to suit your individual needs, helping you move into your own increased effectiveness in living the life you want. I draw from nearly two decades of experience as a psychotherapist to help you move past the obstacles in your path. Please call if I may be of assistance to you. Life is often far from easy, and living a full and satisfying life can be even more elusive. I consider your call to be a major, healthy step towards moving forward in your life.

More Info About My Practice

I am a psychologist in private practice, bringing nearly two decades of professional experience to providing individual and group psychotherapy for adults. The work I do often focuses on * emotional growth and development, * relationships with one's self and with others, * healthy self-understanding, * enhancement of physical health through psychological wellness, and * greater life satisfaction. In addition to my extensive background in Clinical Psychology, I am trained and experienced in Neuropsychology (the study of the brain-behavior relationship). I understand well the connections between physical and emotional well-being. I have a special interest in interpersonal neurobiology, an integrative approach which cultivates mindful awareness. The practice of mindfulness is now being shown to stimulate the brain to grow new, more integrated circuits ~ and may be at the heart of well-being, including emotional balance and resilience, enhanced relationships and attachments, improved cardiac and immune function, and an enhanced sense of empathy, connectedness, and self-understanding.
