My Approach to Helping

My doctorate in sexuality gives me the background and ability to specialize in the areas of general sexuality, sexual orientation, gender identity, and sexual dysfunction and trauma. As a licensed social worker, I am also prepared to do more "general therapy". I also use EMDR to treat different forms of trauma, including life disturbances that may seem small to the client but have impacted self-esteem, relationships, etc..

My practice is client centered and strengths based. I use a variety of methdologies depending on the needs of each individual client. My practice is culturally sensitive, and I work with people from a variety of backgrounds.

My private practice is located in the Center City and Mt. Airy. I primarily work with adolescents and adults, specializing in women, girls, and the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender populations. My areas of focus include sexuality, trauma and disabilities.
