I am a pre-licensed therapist, working under the supervision of Nancy Kernick, Psy.D. I have worked in a variety of settings, including psychotherapy clinics, community treatment, university and high school counseling, and inpatient/outpatient psychiatric care.
I have experience working with adults, adolescents, families, and couples.
Throughout my years of clinical experience I have worked successfully with many types of issues, including:
* Depression
* Anxiety
* Men's Issues
* Social Phobia
* Bipolar Disorder
* Crisis Management and Intervention
* Identity Issues
* Chronic Mental Health Issues
My style is collaborative, compassionate, and patient.
I practice therapy from a relational perspective. This means that I believe it is important to consider conflicts as they occur in the context of relationships - both with oneself and with significant others. This also means I believe it is important to allow space to consider the meaning and significance of thoughts, feelings, and impressions as they become available in the treatment. I believe we are all very complex individuals and that this complexity should be respected, validated, and celebrated. Foremost, I believe in bringing a genuine spirit of curiosity and adventure to the collaborative work of psychotherapeutic change.
