My Approach to Helping

I work with young, middle age, older individuals and couples to support and help you to work though various critical, stressful, and challenging life transitions, that has led to self-doubt, low self-esteem, depression, traumatic stress, anxiety/panic attacks, or generally feeling stuck in a downward spiral. As your therapist, I am committed to understanding your world from your point of view. I will accompany and assist you as you identify new aspects of yourself, become aware of your inner strengths, learn more effective ways to deal with problems, communicate your needs, and ability to live life more fully.

I have particular experience working with female and male survivors of emotional, physical, and sexual abuse, and with individuals and couples in healing from addictions and trauma, such as infidelity. My therapeutic style integrates psychodynamic, cognitive, relational and skills-based approaches, tailored to your specific concerns and needs.

Together, we will work in a peaceful, comfortable and professional setting. I bring 30+ years experience of medical social work, individual psychotherapy, couples counseling, and group therapy, 15 of which in private practice in Stockholm, Sweden, and have been practicing in the U.S. for the past 8 years.
