My Approach to Helping
In dealing with life's struggles, it's not always enough to talk it through with friends, or to ignore the problem, hoping it will go away. As your therapist, I will help you gain clarity and new insight on what's got you stuck. I will work with you to identify and implement the steps you need to take to achieve your goals for change.

Together we will build a relationship based on trust, encouragement and hope, so you can see that change is possible. My approach is highly collaborative: together we will identify and set goals to change old patterns of behavior, thinking or attitude that have been preventing you from fully embracing life or relationships. Part of this step may be to examine patterns related to your family history or your cultural background. We will identify your inner strengths and you will develop new skills, which will empower and enable you to make the transitions your desire.
