My Approach to Helping
I believe that therapy is a means to illuminate your internal world while helping you to connect with others.

Through dialogue, our sessions will focus on clarifying your understanding of your own experiences. This can be the beginning of learning how to simply be with yourself and make meaning of yourself in the world. Ultimately, mindful awareness is our vehicle to achieve that clarity.

What is mindful awareness? Mindful awareness is simply the art of paying attention with openness and curiosity to the present moment.

Emotional balance and self-acceptance are facilitated when psychotherapy is coupled with mindful awareness. In order to bring a balanced view of where you are in this moment, it is essential to identify the obstacles that have gotten in the way of good relationships, career opportunities or whatever is obscuring your path to well-being. For example, fear is an obstacle and the starting place for many emotional disturbances such as regret of the past or dread of the future.

Our work together will provide you with the opportunity to strengthen your self-esteem and change patterns that have prevented you from leading the life you want.
