My Approach to Helping

It is our human nature to feel stuck, to dislike part of ourselves or to feel ambivalent about relationships. Our busy lives often don't allow us the luxury of slowing down and looking into these unresolved issues. Some of us never find the time and carry around the burden of unfinished business. However, therapy can provide you such a time and space to explore these unresolved areas, giving a gentle attention to the neglected parts of your self. By bringing more clarity into your life, you can sort out your priorities, give your life more focus and let go of old behavior patterns and conflicting emotions.
I work with adults, families and couples. As a compassionate listener I can help you to ask the right questions and support you in befriending the parts of your self that are hard to be with. I will also encourage you to formulate goals and remind you of them when they disappear from your perspective. I guarantee privacy and confidentiality.
I use and teach the tools of mindfulness, Focusing, cognitive-behavior therapy and stress reduction. Feel free to contact me for a free consultation, so we can see how we would work together.
