My Approach to Helping

I believe that a therapeutic relationship with a caring counselor and the initial step in asking for help is the start of progress toward change. The courage to change is what is needed to facilitate the movement toward the ideal life that the client wishes to create. As the practitioner, I am just the guide to the client. I offer healthy choices and support the client in his or her path toward wellness. My approach is gentle when needed and firm when required. My ultimate goal is to help my clients reach their own goals without pushing my own agenda upon them.

More Info About My Practice

I have been practicing for over ten years. I have children of my own, one who is multiply handicapped. I do not push my clients into taking medication if alternatives can be found, but provide referrals when necessary. I take most insurances and offer a sliding fee scale to those without insurance. I also have staff working within my practice for business consultation and individual counseling specifically for those without insurance.
