I completed post-master course work in marriage and family and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida. I am certified as a Certified Addiction Counselor, a Certified Employee Assistance Professional, a Certified Crisis Responder and Substance Abuse Professional. I maintain a private practice in Jacksonville, Florida and specialize working in the fields of mood disorders, such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks and bipolar disorder, chemical dependency, stress management, anger management, trauma recovery and relationship counseling. I have experience working with grief issues stemming from divorce, abandonment, death, loss of job, empty nest syndrome, and retirement. I have facilitated recovery groups for doctors in recovery, sexual assault victims, domestic violence, stress and anger management. I passed the Department of Transportation training to provide Substance Abuse evaluations for DOT safety sensitive jobs. I have traveled as a national speaker on topics of violence prevention, threat assessment and crisis recovery. In my work as a crisis responder, I have responded to over 2,000 critical events and recently has been commissioned to the DMAT-FL4 under FEMA. I have been recognized as a foundling member of Homeland Security as a Disaster Mental Health Specialist.
