My Approach to Helping
If you sometimes feel there is a better version of you, just waiting to emerge, you are not alone. And I am here to help guide you along that journey. My mission is to help people improve their emotional well being, enhance their interpersonal relationships and to empower them to make their lives more meaningful and authentic.

We each have the seeds to live a rich and meaningful life. I believe we hold the answers within to the dilemmas we face, although sometimes we may need guidance in accessing those answers. When we feel like we lose our way, psychotherapy can help us get back on the path to where wed like to be.

I am a therapist who dedicates her life to finding all the best tools to help you through lifes challenges successfully. I will listen carefully and ask questions to fully understand you. My practice is focused on finding solutions to promote change. I utilize a variety of powerful techniques to promote healing and transformation. Together we analyze your situation and then collaborate on strategies and goals that are realistic. Most of all, I will support you.

More Info About My Practice
I provide your first 25-minute consultation free of charge. Thereafter, regular sessions are 50 minutes long. I believe that psychotherapy should be affordable to all and offer rates on a sliding scale for those who need. Please contact me to discuss the cost of these sessions.

Theoretical Influences that Guide My Work

I combine the best approaches of scientifically based techniques like cognitive behavioral psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, and analytical therapy to meet your individual needs. In addition, I rely on my intuition to focus on key issues and often discover hidden pathways to help you progress on whatever your path is. Together, we will decide what goals to work on, the type of counseling needed and how long treatment will last. My therapeutic orientation encourages me to see people as unique individuals within the context of their social situations in the present and in the past. I work with individuals, couples and families.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

The relationship between therapist and client is the single biggest factor in the success of therapy. For that reason, it is incredibly important for the client to feel that their therapist understands them so that progress is made. There is probably nothing worse than sharing some very personal topics and not seeing an improvement in how you feel or act. For that reason, I encourage all my potential clients to interview a couple of therapists, if possible to ensure the best fit between therapist and client before beginning treatment.
