My Approach to Helping

I believe therapy is a collaborative process of discovering the bridges and roadblocks on the way to reaching a person's full potential. The client brings his or her life experience with stories of success and survival. The therapist's contribution is to provide a safe, creative environment where, together, they explore past experiences, present circumstances and future possibilities.

My job is to create an atmosphere of safety and trust where the client feels empowered to face difficult issues, find new direction or make different choices. The therapeutic process may include learning new skills or realizing hidden strengths that allow the client to achieve success ---- as the client defines it.

The path to wholeness and healing through psychotherapy is unique for each individual; the common thread is creating a relationship with a caring and engaged professional. It's your path --- I've got a map and a flashlight. Let's go!

More Info About My Practice

My fee is $90 for a 50-60 minute session; $110 for an 80-90 minute session. Couple's or family sessions are 80-90 minutes for $120. I usually do longer sessions for EMDR, if that is the client's preference.
