My Approach to Helping

In keeping with her scholastic training, Leanne follows an Adlerian perspective with her practice. She engages in this model because it is optimistic and views the person as a whole while providing practical tools to assist the individual in overcoming the challenges they face. Another benefit of this theory is that it applies well to individuals of all ages, couples, and groups. Leanne also recognizes the strengths of other theories and implements various techniques depending on the client, the challenges they are facing, and their individual needs.

Leanne works with a variety of clients including adolescents and adults in individual as well as a couple's formats. Her areas of interest include marriage and couples counselling, eating disorders, anxiety, communication skills, relationship difficulties, parenting, depression, self esteem issues, trauma, and post traumatic stress, and pain.
