I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. I believe in a collaborative process between my clients and myself. I draw from a cognitive, physical and emotional understanding of the therapeutic process. I believe clients are a leader in developing their therapeutic goals. I believe the therapistâs role is to assist and serve as a support to help them identify their goals and possible solutions for the desired outcome. I use some techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Psychology, Psychotherapy (past experiences that affect the present), experiential techniques (art, sand play and play therapies), and education. I strive to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges.
My goal, as a solution-focused therapist, is to foster a relationship that uncovers your potential to celebrate your life. We are all faced with challenging situations from our past, many that we canât seem to change, but we can work together to better understand ourselves and resolve current hurdles in our lives. By utilizing therapies that compliment each other, various approaches and techniques, we will discover perpetuating behaviors and distortions that might be preventing you from enjoying your life and finding meaning.
